Workato is a business integration and workflow tool that aims at providing rich and universal connectors while being easy to use at the same time. At its center are the discovery, management and manipulation of integration recipes.

I worked with the founders and developers on rapid iterations to get from a bare bones, proof-of-concept to a competitive experience on web and iPhone. The challenge was to create a UX foundation while experimentation with major system parts and changing business priorities were ongoing.

By propagating simple, low-risk design patterns across parallel implementation efforts, the ad hoc redesign or even redefining of features was possible while maintaining a coherent experience. The evolving UX framework became the foundation that Workato is built on.
