The Cliq or Dext was Motorola’s first phone based on the Android OS—a brand new platform at the time. I designed a range of custom features that extended the stock OS and generated brand differentiation for Motorola.

I delivered an improved calling experience and device specific hard key behaviors. Additionally, I designed the account sync manager: the mechanism that allows users to stream their social content to a widget dashboard on the home screen. The signature experience of the Cliq.
